Romello is a so-called tumbling tomato variety, that will give you an abundant harvest of small, sweet cherry tomatoes. This variety is perfect for hanging baskets on sheltered balconies or patios. Cultivate 2-3 plants per hanging basket and make sure the soil is nutrient-rich and well-drained by fertilizing and watering regularly. Do not remove suckers.

Pre-cultivate your plant indoors for about 8-10 weeks before you replant it outside. The temperature should be between 18-20 degrees and the plant should be kept moist. To do so, place it in a mini-greenhouse or cover it with plastic. Once shoots start to appear, place it in a bright and cool area and use additional light during the darker months of the year. When the plants have grown big enough, transplant one per pot of fertilized soil and replant outside when the night temperature is minimum 8°C.
